Johnson & Johnson Aims to Help Up to 120 Million Women and Children Each Year Through Five-Year Commitment to U.N. Millennium Development Goals

On September 8, Johnson & Johnson announced the launch of Every Mother, Every Child. In response to the U.N.'s Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the company gives a five-year commitment aims at the health of women and children in developing countries. The commitment will help up to 120 Million women and children each year by the means of mobile health programs; treatments for intestinal parasites, HIV and TB; and safe birth programs.

This announcement supports the Global Strategy on Women's and Children's Health, which would go public on September 22. Johnson & Johnson currently partners with more than 200 organizations to work on the improvement the health of women and children worldwide. It expects to set a model of corporate social responsibility for others.
