2K Games Announces Duke Nukem Forever® - Seriously - at Penny Arcade Expo
It’s taken 13 long years, but 2K Games and Gearbox Software are turning a gaming-industry myth into reality: Duke Nukem Forever, the "King of All Shooters," is finally ready to kick ass and chew bubblegum--and it ran out of gum a long time ago. The latest installment in the over-the-top Duke Nukem first-person shooter franchise, originally announced in April 1997 as the sequel to the previous year's Duke Nukem 3D, debuted on September 3, 2010, with a playable demo at 2K Games' booth at the 2010 Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) and the announcement that the finished product would be available in 2011 for the XBox 360, Playstation 3 and PC gaming platforms. Hail to the King, baby!
