The Food Network Launches the "In the Kitchen" App

On November 4, 2010, Food Network announced the launch of its In the Kitchen App. The app has the capability to run on the iPhone, Ipad and Ipod touch devices and will be sold on the iTunes App store for $1.99. Conveniently, the app will recognize the device it is being downloaded to and launch the appropriate version.

The In the Kitchen App will feature 45,000 recipes from all Food Network chefs. Each recipe will include photos and step-by-step instructions. For those using the app on-the-go, ingredients from recipes can be put into a shopping list, which can be accessed both on and offline. Other features, such as an in-app timer and unit converter, make the cooking process much easier and efficient. During the launch of the In the Kitchen app, the Food Network will feature Thanksgiving recipes and plans to update its seasonal recipes monthly.

Call of Duty®: Black Ops Launches Worldwide

Top Harry Potter Vacation on Location Spots to Visit in Britain

VisitBritain, the national tourist board for England, Scotland and Wales, has prepared a fancy roster of "not-to-be-missed" Harry Potter related locations throughout the UK to welcome the Harry Potter fans right before the eagerly anticipated Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows I hits theaters on November 19, 2010.

The exploring adventure themed in Harry Potter offers two sets of plans for a visit in Britain. Visitors can join different groups with different itinerary depending on their budget. The Holiday Season Arrives in Los Angeles When The Grove Welcomes Its Eye-Catching 100-Foot Christmas Tree on Monday, November 1

The Grove in Los Angeles will start the holiday season on November 1st with the delivery of a 100-foot White Fir from Mt. Shasta in Northern California. The 100-foot tree will be taller than iconic 70 to 90 foot Norway Spruce at the Rockefeller Center in New York. A flatbed truck will deliver the tree to the historic Farmer's Market and then will be hoisted up by crane allowing for aerial shots between 7:45am to 8:30am. Betty White chooses cutest cat pics

Betty White, animal advocate, has teamed up with Omaha based, Sergeant's Pet Care Products Inc. and Morris Animal Foundation for the "Happy, Healthy Cat Photo Contest,” in order to raise awareness of feline health and promote their pet products.

The photo contest consists of three categories: cats that represent the happy, healthy theme, cats with their families and cats with the dog(s) in their family. Betty White will choose the Grand Prize winners and runners up.

The Grand Prize winner will have their photo on the cover of AnimalNews and be highlighted in an article in the magazine they'll also receive a giftcard to Petsmart and various items from Sergeant's Pet Care Products. Meet the new Myspace

MySpace unveiled its new look and feel today in an effort to reach a wider audience and reclaim a piece of the social media market. The site now features more personalized elements allowing users to connect not only with friends but also with people with similar interests. With a new, fully redesigned beta website, Myspace hopes to reach trend setting youth, especially in the Hispanic community.

Magic Mountain: Now With More Incessant Screaming

Six Flags Magic Mountain in conjunction with Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment has built three new roller coasters at their Valencia, CA location. This once again puts them atop the world record for most coasters at a single theme park. Celebrities, Faith Leaders and Survivors Urge U.S. Action to End Global Epidemic of Violence Against Women

A coalition of human rights advocates, one celebrity, faith leaders and female survivors of violent abuse, held a rally to urge Congress to pass the International Violence Against Women Act before the November elections. At the Sept. 16-rally outside of Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., speakers pointed to recent high-profile cases of violence against women as examples of why congress must to take quick actions to protect women worldwide against violence.

Febreze Game Day Freshness Tour - The Official Freshness Tour of the NFL.

As part of being the “Official Air Freshener of the NFL,” Febreze announced Tuesday that the company would take to the road for the Febreze Game Day Freshness Tour from the Kickoff of the 2010-2011 NFL season through the Super Bowl in February. The face of the tour will be Olivia Manning, wife of former New Orleans Saints quarterback Archie Manning and mother to Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton and New York Giants quarterback Eli. Daffy's "Undressing Room" Gets Dressing Down From NYPD

For this year’s “Fashion’s Night Out” celebration, Daffy’s moved its dressing room front and center to the street-level windows of its Herald Square store on Sep 10. Every few minutes, four models took off their Daffy’s clothing in plain view of passers-by and put on a new outfit. Onlookers were invited to text their choices of outfits for the two female and two male models to try on throughout the evening. And models would text back to requests and comments. A large screen TV was placed in the window for all to read the ongoing dialogues.

The crowd created big traffic problems at 34th Street and Broadway. NYPD officers asked Daffy’s to discontinue the show twice at the night, due to concerns about vehicular and pedestrian traffic. During the whole event from more than 1,500 text messages were received. The show lasted for 3.5 hours, starting from 6pm and was called to an end by NYPD at 9:30pm.
