Powell's Books In Portland, Oregon, Wins Scholastic Bookstore Contest Prize of Store Visit by Suzanne Collins, Bestselling Author of The Hunger Games

Scholastic, the global children's publishing, education, and media company, announced today that Powell's Books in Portland, Oregon, has won a store visit from Suzanne Collins, the bestselling author of The Hunger Games trilogy. Powell's was selected as the winner of a Scholastic in-store display contest in conjunction with the publication of Mockingjay, the final book of The Hunger Games trilogy. Participating bookstores were asked to create a display that reflects the look and spirit of Mockingjay. Powell's Books was chosen as the winner based on the overall creativity and style of their submission, and Collins will visit Powell's "City of Books" West Burnside location in Portland, Oregon, on Sunday, November 7, 2010.
