The Designate is an on-call fleet of professional drivers that provides transportation for people and their cars to get home safely. The company launched a new Smartphone application that estimates blood alcohol concentration levels and helps users evaluate their ability to drive based on several factors, including sex, weight, number of drinks and type of beverage consumed. The application also indicates whether the user is impaired and offers direct contact information to the Designate. It was created to help people manage their nightlife if they are consuming alcohol. The application was designed by local Michigan companies M10 Mobile Media and Werner Marketing Group. It is free to download but is currently only available to iPhone and Android users.
